AP/AR Accountant

Job Description
We are currently hiring for the position of AP/AR Accountant with a strong understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The successful candidates will be responsible for managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions. This role is critical to maintaining financial integrity and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.
Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
- Process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
- Prepare and perform vendor payment runs in a timely manner.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
Accounts Receivable
- Generate and issue customer invoices promptly and accurately.
- Monitor customer accounts for timely payments and follow up on overdue balances.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address billing inquiries.
US GAAP Compliance
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP in all AP/AR transactions and reporting.
- Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and implement necessary adjustments.
Reconciliation
- Reconcile AP/AR sub-ledgers to the general ledger.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
Reporting
- Prepare regular AP/AR reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in AP/AR accounting roles, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP principles and their application.
- Proficient in relevant accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
