Job Description
- Experience in real estate accounting, or property accounting
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Property Appraisal accounting
- Profit and Loss Account, Balance Sheet and Cash flow statement preparation and maintenance
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year‐end financial statements/reporting
- Reconcile monthly bank statements to the general ledger
- Assisting the company in managing its investment portfolio
- Gathering and analyzing financial information for internal use
- Make forecasts to assist business planning and decision-making
- Process cash receipts and prepare bank deposits
- Prepare common area maintenance and real estate tax reconciliations
- Assist management with special projects and other tasks as assigned
- Coordinate with property manager to ensure compliance to all procedures and evaluate and prepare all annual budgets and review all expense ledgers and assist in recovery reconciliations
- Analyze all property level balance sheet and cash flow statements and assist in all trustee bond accounts and maintain integrity of all data and ensure efficient processing of all customer and vendor invoices
- Handle full-cycle accounting for a real estate portfolio including income producing and development properties with limited supervision
- To provide accurate and timely financial information as required internally by management and externally by investors and other parties
- Reconciliation and understanding of all balance sheet accounts and produce monthly financial statements and supplementary reporting as required
- Supply tenant analysis and statements of account as required
- Responsible for completing accounting portion of assigned property budgets, annual business plan within assigned deadlines
- Assist Property Manager in invoice coding
- Setup new leases in client ERP
- Assist in tenant queries on billings
Qualifications
- B.com or M.com or MBA Finance (preferred) with Minimum 5-10 years of experience
- Work experience with US clients
